I have always had a strong opinion that technology was a gateway to success for the current generation of learners. I was introduced to computers in 1980 while still in high school in North Carolina. Since that time I worked hard to learn as much as possible about computers both at home, in college, in business and as a scientist. In 1998, I entered a graduate program in Instructional Technology and as a teacher, I have tried to keep up with the advances in educational technology.
I have never been more excited than I am at this time to see and learn the new resources and user-friendly applications that are available to teachers and students as tools for success. I appreciate all the hard work of the fellows in the ABPC and am so happy to have been a part of this year's 21st Century Teaching and Learning Initiative.
